New Chair Woman of the Trust

Saturday, 25th January 2020

Jane Clarke has become the Chair of our Board of Directors. Jane takes on the role of Chair having been a member of our Board for 4 years.

The Trust has welcomed Jane Clarke to the role of Chair of Board of Directors.

Jane has been a Director of the Trust for more than 4 years and has been responsible for Safeguarding across the Trust as well as being Chair of the School Improvement Committee. Jane takes over from Patrick Freeman who steps down as Acting Chair of the Board after 12 months.

Jane spent her career in Local Authority social work with children, working in general Children and Family Services in West Yorkshire, Stockport and Cumbria (Barrow) and also working as an adoption specialist and as part of a multi-disciplinary hospital team. She retired in 2011.

Jane's first contact with the Trust was as a Chair of a Local Governing Body. She is now excited by the prospect of leading the Trust  as it develops a collaborative approach to improvement and  development, better enabling Local Governing Bodies to rise to the educational, financial and social challenges so many will face in the coming years.

We know that Jane will lead the Trust with compassion, clarity and dedication.
