Collaboration in action!

As a Trust we believe that everyone has something to offer and that we all achieve our best when we support each other and when our schools work together. This informs the programme of events that we offer to our Staff and LGBs.

Annual General Meetings

Each January our AGM takes place at our central office in Penrith.

Staff Inset Days

Our biggest event is our biennial Staff Inset Day. We welcome all staff from across the Trust to attend a day of learning, collaboration and discussion.

Inset 2016
Inset 2019

The first Inset day took place in 2016 with just four schools. By 2019 the Trust had grown substantially so that over 80 staff gathered for an informative day with a focus on Mental Health and Well-being. The next Staff Inset Day is scheduled to take place in September 2022. More details soon!

Heads and Chairs Days

Our inaugural Heads and Chairs day took place in November 2018 and it's popularity among our team was such that it is now an annual event!

The Heads and Chairs Day is just that! A day when all of our Senior Leaders from across the Trust gather with the Chairs of our Local Governing Bodies along with Central Trust staff and Directors. The days are varied, lively and a great forum for sharing best practice, generating new ideas and supporting one another to achieve our best for our pupils, staff and communities.

Workshops

We run regular workshops for our School Administrators. These are a great opportunity for these powerhouses of school management to get to know each other, offer support, swap tips and tricks and feedback to the Trust about what would make their lives, and the administration of their schools even more efficient!

Clerks of our school's LGBs have also been invited to attend workshop sessions to share their knowledge and ensure consistency across our Trust.

All these events are used to inform the work of the Central Trust team and lead to the development of new policies, the refinement of procedures and ultimately a more inclusive and collaborative team across the Trust.
